Who We Are
We are a non-profit organization founded in 1990 by Sister Karoline Mayer
and inspired by humanistic and Christian values and plural composition.
Our objective is the social, economic, and cultural promotion of people and groups of low-income,
starting with their needs and in accordance with their own paths of development.
Our units, which we call services, directly reach more than 28,000 poor people
in the areas of health, youth technical formation, children’s education, and rehabilitation of
drug addictions. Mission
To serve with love those who suffer from poverty
with excellent, efficient, creative, and impassioned work.
To respond to the needs of people, as seen from their own
perspective, and encourage the development of their potentials, abilities, and their own
manner of growth with a spirit of as much faith and confidence as firmness and determination,
as much with them as with ourselves.
To generate services, in collaboration with the State and
other civil service agencies, that by being reproducible models they contribute to the
change of social structures to create a more equal, supportive, and just world.
To create social conscience for the respect of fundamental
rights of the poor and for the acknowledgment of their dignity.
To show that Christ lives in the service of the most
needy and the sharing of the bread
Our Vision: We hope to become
A community of people in the service of others.
A work space for the personal and professional
realization of each on of its workers and volunteers.
A bridge between people, groups,
and countries of the world to mutually familiarize, appreciate, and enrich each other,
in an ecumenical and plural spirit and with the contribution of different creeds, ideologies,
and cultures.
Some of us want to be builders of a New Society,
others of us want to be builders of the Kingdom of God, but all of us together want to
build a more free and happy humanity. |
